Her interest in medical sciences dates back to 1994, when she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, which laid the foundation for her future studies. In 2003, she obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from the School of Medicine of the Republic of Uruguay, where she also worked as an assistant researcher in the Department of Physiology.
Dr. Betancor's professional experience in the United States is diverse regarding responsibilities and geographic locations. In Kentucky, for example, she received a fellowship to continue her training at the University of Brescia, while at Coney Island Hospital in New York, she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Betancor speaks Spanish, English, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Russian, among other languages.
