- Is my bruising going to be permanent? No. So bruising should resolve on its own. Everybody takes a different amount of time to heal the bruises completely and it depends on the type of bruise and the size, etc. But no, bruising is not permanent. What obviously is permanent is scars. You will have the scars from surgery.
- For bruising, I personally recommend Arnica, as a cream and there are also supplement that can be taken.
- So when should I worry about a bruise? Well, first of all, bruising can be normal and is expected after surgery, but some signs that you need to watch out for are if the bruise gets bigger over time, if it hurts, like extremely painful, if it seems to be spreading, or if it gets really tight. Also, if you have fever or pus or something like that.
